Corruption

Lucas in his Corrupted State, or as I like to call, "Wraith Mode". Remember when I mentioned the eye patch? THIS is its purpose: To conceal and restrain the being inside him. Lucas indeed had died when he was sent to prison, but he never stayed dead. There are stories told in prison that if one who had died in the prison through torture or through a natural death, his/her soul would remain their forever.

But Lucas...he had no plans on staying there in his prison cell, rotting away. He awakens in the spiritual realm formally know as Limbo and encounters spectral beings known as Wraiths, the manifestation of the sin man had committed in his life. Wraiths came in different forms; some small, some great, some with disturbing and terrifying abilities.

For one who has died without confession and repentance of his sins, they still had a chance...to kill that same amount he has committed. Many have failed this trial, because it was seemingly impossible and the wraiths didn't die normally. It takes a wraith to kill a wraith basically.

Lucas, who had been wondering around Limbo for hours encounters a special type of flying wraith a Mask of Sin. There are seven in all mask forms. This one out of these seven he had encountered was the Mask of Gluttony. It curses its pray by feeding off its state of sanity and replacing it with an endless hunger for flesh.

As he continues on through Limbo, he finds his snake, Lucifer. But he is not the same being he once was either. Lucifer had been eating the souls of city rats, and that caused him to go through an extreme state of evolution that happens in the Limbo. He became a wraith, but Lucas still saw him as family. As he placed his snake over his shoulders, Lucifer suddenly began to fuse to the open wound where Lucas' arm used to be. This is the result of a bacterial form of wraith feeding off of any wound a person received while alive. If the bacteria comes in contact with a second being, that life form becomes a part of you.

Lucas manages to escape Limbo by walking through what seemed to be a spectral portal leading to a laboratory. In some ghost stories, it is said if you call a spirit's name while looking into a mirror, that person will appear and attempt to enter the physical world.

Lucas meets a seemingly defenseless man in a white coat, seeming to be in his 40s in a wheel chair and attempts to attack him. But he is stopped when the handicap man presses a button on the arm of his chair, releasing a high frequency of sound waves that seemed to cause a disturbance in the wraiths and puts it to a halt. While unconscious, the man installed a special eye patch over Lucas' left eye. It suppresses the wraith and keeps Lucas sane. The man introduces himself as Dr. "Bosch" Shostakovitch.
